Is the Rice Purity Test safe to take online?
On this site, yes: your answers are counted inside your browser and are never stored or sent anywhere. On other sites it depends on how the test is built, and you can check it yourself in two minutes.
The items are about sex, drugs and the law. Before ticking them on any website, it is worth knowing where the ticks go.
What can happen to answers on a test site
A test can work in two ways. It can count your ticks inside your browser, so they never leave your device. Or it can send them to a server to work out the score, where they could be logged, stored or analyzed. You cannot tell which from the page design.
How to check any site yourself (computer)
- Open the test page in Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
- Press F12 (or right-click, Inspect) and open the Network tab.
- Tick a few items and press the button that shows your score.
- Watch for new requests. If one appears carrying your ticks, they left your device.
How this site handles it
- Scoring happens in your browser. No answer is sent anywhere.
- Nothing is saved, not even in your own browser. Reload and they are gone.
- The share card and link carry only your score. The score sits after a "#", which browsers do not send to servers.
- No analytics event carries an answer or a score.
Is the Rice Purity Test unblocked at school?
We do not try to get around school or work filters, and you should not need to. This site is a plain page: no games, no downloads, no logins and no pop-ups. Whether it loads on a school network depends on that network's rules. If it is blocked, that is the school's call, and the test will still be here at home.
Other ways to stay safe
- On a shared or school device, press Clear when you are done and close the tab.
- Do not screenshot your ticked list. A score card is enough.
- Sharing your score is your choice. Nobody is owed it.
Ready? Take the Rice Purity Test. Your answers never leave your device.
